The Foxy Fund is a new initiative at Shallowford Falls Elementary designed to assist our school community — students, staff, and families — during family hardship. Examples of possible needs provided by these special funds include providing food or lunch balance support, clothing, care packages for families who have experienced the loss of a family member, or sponsoring students to attend school events such as field trips — situations that may impact students ability to continue to achieve academically because of emotional or social hardships.
The fund is managed by the Core Team committee, consisting of school administrators, school counselors, and the school social worker. All decisions are made by consensus, with full accountability for spending. Donations roll over annually, ensuring that any amount of donations not spent this year will continue to benefit families in need for years to come.
